Environment day 2018
Like every year this year also 5th June environment day get celebrated with enthusiasm ,holding of seminar and lectures were organised by various institutions ,NGOs ,organisations ,government or non government in every city of country.like every year this year also targets were decided for plantation work to be done during rainy season.
This day i was also get invitation to attend a seminar organised by an NGO at a beautiful hotel of the city. Theme of this year seminar was "to eradicate the use of plastic polythene".
This year again speakers were telling about ozone layer depletion and various tragedies held in the world like earth quick ,volcano irruption and melting of iceberg due to temperature hike of climate and tried there best to develop a fear in the listener (around 300) as they were responsible for climate change and they have to do something immediately otherwise everything will get lost.
Situation of organizers become poor when water facility was made available in plastic glasses.
Speakers of the seminar get succeeded to prove that money has no value if your environment is not clean ,they told that 11 cities of our country are most polluted city of the world and this is all due to uneven industrialization .None of the speaker tabled any master plan to reduce pollution of the cities and no one has data of plantation done in last 20 years.
My view is that in country like India it is extremely difficult to control pollution without heartfelt effort ,one day lectures or seminar is not at all sufficient for this project, one agency or govt alone can not do much for this we all have to do simultaneous effort and everyone have to realize its consequences and feel losses as its personal ,for this work some strictness is also required because we indian work as per rule in other countries and even in metro railways(in fear of camera) but start spitting as soon as camera control get off ,at last in our country instead of pollution population is to be controlled otherwise all success will be ruined.
